Knapp Medical Center's Hospice Care Memorial Service
Knapp Medical Center's Hospice Care Services will be having a Memorial Service in memory of those who have passed away this term under Hospice Care.
The service will allow a family member to come forward and announce the name of their loved one and light a candle in their memory.
After the Candle Lighting Ceremony, each person present will be given the opportunity to form a Memorial Floral Arrangement. Each individual will speak into the microphone, state their relationship to the person whom they are remembering, and place the flower in the receptacle. A variety of flowers will be available or you may bring one of your own.
This year, Knapp Medical Center Hospice Care Service Volunteers have made a Memorial Quilt in which the names of those who’ve passed will be inscribed with permanent ink. The squares on the quilt may be autographed by friends or family who are present at the Memorial Service.
The service will be followed by a reception in the Conference Center where refreshments will be served.
Those not able to attend the Memorial Service will have the opportunity to autograph the quilt until the end of May. The quilt will be in the Knapp Medical Center Hospice Care Service wing of the hospital.
The service will be held at the Knapp Medical Center’s Conference Center on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 starting at 7 p.m. Parking will be available in the parking lot that is accessible either off Sixth St. or Eighth St.
