Knapp Purchases Surgery Center

Knapp Medical Center has purchased the Weslaco Eye Surgery Center as of today, July 1, 2008. The new Knapp Surgery Center will continue offering eye surgical services provided by ophthalmology surgeons associated with Thurmond Eye Clinic in Weslaco. However, the facility will be expanded to add additional surgical suites so that other types of outpatient surgery can be added to the services currently offered. The Eye Surgery Center staff have completed Knapp Medical Center orientation and are now employed by Knapp.
