Course Description
The Wound Center at Knapp Medical Center is presenting a high caliber conference to further educate nurses in advanced wound care. Speaker presentations will focus on Advanced Wound Therapies; Diabetic and Pressure Wounds; Physiology of Wound Care; Venous Stasis and Arterial Ulcers; Negative Pressure; and Skin and Bioengineered Grafts. The conference is expecting to attract approximately 350 nurses from the Rio Grande Valley and adjacent areas. Home health and hospice nurses as well as treatment/skilled nurses at nursing home and rehabilitation facilities would benefit greatly from this one-day conference by learning about advanced wound care modalities and techniques. The 2009 Wound Management Conference will be an excellent opportunity to network with fellow healthcare professionals and receive advanced training in wound care.
