Elizabeth G. Krishnan, M.D.

Elizabeth G. Krishnan, M.D. received her medical degree from Christian Medical School in India. She went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Harlem Hospital Center in New York.

Dr. Krishnan opened her practice in Weslaco in 1973 and was the first board certified obstetrician and gynecologist in the Mid Valley and the first female in that field to serve South Texas.

Dr. Krishnan is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists, American College of Surgeons, Texas Association of Obstetrics and Gynecologists, Southern Medical Association, and Hidalgo County Medical Society.

Dr. Krishnan has served in numerous medical staff leadership positions, including Chief of Staff and the Chief of Obstetrics & Gynecology. In addition, Dr. Krishnan has devoted her time to medical staff committee membership, serving on the Executive Committee, Credentialing Committee and the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
