Number of Bills

Physicians are not employees of the hospital. They are independent professional practitioners who are members of the hospital's Medical Staff.

So, hospitals and doctors charge separately. Your account with KMC will consist of charges for your room, meals, the use of equipment, supplies and services provided by the hospital's staff.

In addition to your hospital bill, you will receive a bill from your personal physician(s) and a separate statement from other physicians associated with your hospitalization such as radiologists, anesthesiologists, or pathologists.

Some charges may not show immediately. Services ordered 24 hours before your discharge might not appear on your statement when you are discharged.
