The Financial Representatives are available to answer questions about your bill and to assist in making payment arrangements. To talk with a Financial Representative, please call 969-5140 weekdays. The Cashier's office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please check with the Cashier when you are dismissed to make sure we have all the correct information such as your address, phone number, Social Security number, and insurance data. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any financial questions. The hospital will verify your insurance coverage. However, verification of your insurance coverage is not pre-certification. You and your doctor are responsible for pre-certification requirements set by your insurance company. Although we bill the insurance company, you are ultimately responsible for payment of your bill. Any overpayments you make will be refunded after settlement with your insurance company. If you have any questions or concerns, please call 969-5140. Patients without medical insurance coverage will be asked to pre-pay an estimated bill based on services to be rendered and the expected length of stay in the hospital. Any unpaid balance will be due at the time of discharge. Except for your deductible and co-insurance, Medicare will usually cover medically necessary hospital charges. KMC will bill your Medicare supplemental insurance if you provide us with the necessary information. |
