Outpatient Scheduler

To schedule an outpatient exam at Knapp Medical Center, please call 956-969-5478. You will need to bring your doctor's orders when you come to register. These are the departments or services presently being scheduled through Patient Scheduler:

Some questions you will be asked

• Is the patient on Medicare/Medicaid?
• What is the name of exam being requested?
• What is the diagnosis for the exam being requested?
• Does the exam being requested require IV contrast? If yes, the following questions will be asked:
  • Is the patient allergic to iodine?
  • Is the patient a diabetic on Glucophage or Glucovance?
  • Has the patient had a recent BUN/Creatinine?
• What is your weight? (for Nutrition Services, Stress Lab and MRI patients)
• Will sedation be needed if you are a CT, EEG and MRI patient?
  • If the patient is 6 years old and younger, we will ask if the patient requires sedation.
  • It is very important that the patient can hold still about1 hour for CT Scans, EEG's and approximately 30 minutes for an MRI.
  • EEG sedations do have Preadmit one day prior to exam.
